The research population was 121 students who made clinical practice within the scope of the surgical diseases course. Data were collected with the Reflection Method Evaluation Form. It is introduced by giving a guide to students. They were asked to create a detailed report during patient care in clinical practice. They were asked to write under the titles of the importance of the event, its definition, situation analysis and action plan. The reports were discussed, the topics covered were determined and the students' evaluation of the method was provided. When the reflective thinking method was evaluated, the mean score of the numerical scale was determined by the students as 7.10±2.25. The first three achievements of the students regarding reflection were that the student took ownership of the problems and gained a more realistic view, handled the ethical approach, and developed the expression of thoughts and feelings.
