The research was conducted to determine the views of midwifery students on gender equality. The universe of the research consisted of 1st (n=102) and 4th grade (82) students (N=184) studying in the specified department. The sampling method was not used in the research, and the universe also formed the sample. All students in both 1st and 4th grades participated in the research and the entire universe was reached. Data were collected with Questionnaire and Gender Equality Scale and evaluated using appropriate statistical tests in SPSS 21 program. In the study, it was determined that the Gender Equality Score average of the first-year students was 27.33?11.10, and it was significantly higher (23.71?5.87) than the fourth-year students (p<0.05). When the sub-dimension point averages of the scale were examined, it was determined that the 1st grade students got higher scores in the sub-dimensions of "The Understanding that Sees Men as Superior" and "The Understanding That Makes Women Dependent on Men". In the study, it was found that the total mean score of the Gender Equality of the students in both years were at low level. In the subscale mean scores of the scale, the 4th-year students were more sensitive and conscious on gender equality, compared to the 1st-year students.
