This study was conducted to examine the effect of the perception of nurse presence on disease perception and anxiety levels in cancer patients. The research was carried out with 165 cancer patients receiving inpatient care at the Ilhan Onat Hematology Building of Dokuz Eylül University Hospital. In the study, Descriptive Information Form, Nurse's Presence Scale, Illness Perception Scale and Beck Anxiety Scale were used as data collection tools. In the analysis of data; descriptive statistics, kolmogorov-smirnov test, pearson correlation analysis were used. In the study, the average scores of patients on the Nurse Presence Scale were determined as 112.27 ± 9.61. The average of the total scores of the Illness Perception Scale Opinions About Illness subheading was found to be 134.42±13.68. The mean total score of the Illness Perception Scale Possible Causes of Disease subheading was determined as 44.53±10.98. The average score of the patients on the Beck Anxiety Scale was determined as 9.31±12.57. In our study, the anxiety levels of the patients were mild. As a result of this study; No significant relationship was found between the Nurse Presence Scale and Beck Anxiety Scale mean scores. No significant relationship was found between the Nurse Presence Scale and the total and all subscale score averages of the Illness Perception Scale (p>0.05).
