Abstract

This study has been conducted to determine Sanliurfa pregnant women’s consultations habits and their purchasing traditional applications to herbalists to avoid anemia. This study is in cross sectional type, beetween June 2018 and August 2018. In total, sample of this study consist of 27 herbalists as a source. Detected medicinal herbs that recomended and applied for the pregnants are; mullein, licorice, sweetflag, common mallow, pomegranate, great burdock, samphire, gingery, black mulberry, wheat head, rosemary, dewberry, white mulberry, molasses, turmeric, stinging nettle, black seed, nut, date, purslane, hazelnut, fig, carob, flaxseed, sesame, basswood, pumpkin, milfoil, cress seed, nopal, blueberries, corncockle, beetroot, beet pickle, fennel, thyme, sugar cane, rate in klamath and sweet potato.The information which recorded by the help of this study will provide information transfer from generation to generation. Thus, knowledge on the therapeutic uses of traditional medicines will be a source of new studies.
